Community Policing

The Community Policing Committee is motivated by the desire to establish Sunnyslope as a safe desirable community, known to be inhospitable to criminal activity.

Participants are taught to recognize indicators of criminal activity and the information officers need to respond. Law Enforcement provides updates on recent activity in the area. Participants work in groups to identify properties to be investigated by the Neighborhood Enforcement Team. The Neighborhood Enforcement Team engages other agencies as necessary, when complaints are found to be valid. Residents may also use the 24-hour complaint line exclusively set up for Sunnyslope residents: 602-534-7119.
