Prevention Specialty Programs

Sunnyslope is characterized by cultural diversity and a high number of working poor families, many of which are headed by adults without a high school diploma. When these aspects are put together, it can put youth at risk and families in need.

Issues that are being addressed include conflict resolution, afterschool programs to engage youth in positive activites, and programs and after school activities that promote mentoring opportunities for youth to interact with positive role models, as well as programs to help adults finish their education so they can obtain better employment and pursue high education.
